Are water proof mattress protectors with a plastic layer unsafe as they are not breathable if baby rolls and is face down? Tizzie hall says not to use them. I am unsure on this. Can you assist?

Hi Deanne,
Thanks for your question.
Red Nose recommends the following about mattress protectors in general which is related to maintaining the firmness of the mattress:
always make sure that the waterproof mattress protector is strong and a tight fit.
