The Wiggles have been a supporter of Red Nose since 1988 following the death of Bernadette Field, daughter of Paul Field, Managing Director of The Wiggles.
Since 1988 The Wiggles have played a major role in helping Red Nose raise awareness of our Safe Sleeping education campaign, which has been instrumental in reducing sudden unexpected deaths in infancy in Australia by 80%, saving some 9,450 little lives.
The Wiggles and their production team have supported Red Nose Day through the development of television and radio advertisements as well as the recording of in-store announcements for our retail partners. Their support also extends to the development of advertising materials, along with providing prizes for our colouring-in competitions, media interviews and appearances to support Red Nose public relations and marketing.
In 2012, they also wrote a safe sleeping song called “Sleep Safe, My Baby” which was released on a Wiggles Album, at the time, and has contributed significantly to raising the awareness our Safe Sleeping public health campaign. We have since gone on to include the song in our Child Care Kit, which supports safe sleeping education in a child care environment, and on our website.
