This Red Nose Safe Sleeping eLearning course is based on the Red Nose Safe Sleeping recommendations, which have been developed by Red Nose’s National Scientific Advisory Group, a committee made up of experts in the fields of research, health care and midwifery.
Since risk reduction campaigns began in 1990, there has been an 85% decrease in sudden unexpected deaths in infancy in Australia, saving an estimated 9,967 lives.
The course is presented by Jane Wiggill, Midwife and Manager of Health and Advocacy at Red Nose.
Learning outcomes include the six evidence-based recommendations for reducing the risk of SUDI, and how to implement them when preparing for your little one. There are also other areas of care such as how to wrap baby safely and the importance of tummy time.
Watch course presenter Jane Wiggill introduce the Red Nose eLearning for New and Expectant Parents.
