Experience Canberra’s very own Christmas extravaganza this year and help Red Nose save little lives.
With lots of family fun for everyone, the Canberra Miniature Railway will tomorrow be turned into a Christmas spectacular, with miniature railway rides, a spectacular light
show, visits with Santa, and loads of live entertainment.
Red Nose’s festive and not-to-be missed Christmas Lights will also be on display at the miniature railway.
Kids can also have fun in the giant train-themed jumping castle and slide, and don’t forget to visit Santa in his new Christmas grotto!
Christmas in Canberra is an important event for the local community, which helps save little lives each year, by raising funds for Red Nose.
These funds in turn help Red Nose support local families by providing counselling and support to those impacted by the death of an infant or child, and by providing safe
sleeping education to parents and health professionals. Funds also support lifesaving and vital research into sudden and unexpected death in infancy, including SIDS and stillbirth.
Red Nose Fundraising Manager Kylie Kidd said the support from the Canberra community each year was invaluable. “Christmas can be a distressing time of year for families who have lost a child, and the support from the Canberra community at this time is so appreciated,” she said.
“Visiting Christmas in Canberra is great fun for the whole family, and it’s also a great opportunity to support a fantastic cause at this time of year.”
Ms Kidd thanked the Canberra Miniature Railway, event organisers and Red Nose volunteers for all their work in creating a magical Christmas extravaganza.
“A lot of work goes into these events, and I’d like to thank all those who have created such a magical Christmas extravaganza for the visitors”.
