Bentley Cricket Club members past and present were joined by community members at Wyong Reserve last Sunday for a T20 Family Day to raise money for Red Nose.
The event was held in memory of club member Glen Hewitt’s son Vaelen, who died in 2014 from sudden unexpected death in childhood.
Glen spoke on the day about the importance of the work done by Red Nose, and the value of community support at the time of a loss.
City of Canning councillors and Mayor Paul Ng attended the event, while club patron WA Treasurer Ben Wyatt was a special guest player for a Legends XI.
For the record, the President’s XI triumphed over the Legends XI by 128 runs to 100.
